Review of ICAP and IMWCA Insurance Renewals, Melissa Johnson with Midwest Insurance

Melissa Johnson presenting on insurance information. Melissa is offering two different choices for increase - 5000 and  10000. if we went to 10000 we would save 2500. could do replacement cost for the spartan or liability or could increase our liability 8m umbrella and increase to 11m  cap at 13 m  review with staff for what area to go with.

dane nealson arrived at 6:05. Fieldhouse will have to renew until it is finished then we can cancel. she reviewed the summary. if want full values see kerin and can send out to them. replacement costs adding increasing work comp only 2% attribute to our safety comm and our  $1000 grant available have 6 months to use it. 11% increase in work comp our loss history has been good. small claims.

Public Forum

A. Proclamation for Parks & Recreation Month

david hulz - 1121 3rd st, two commercial properties - filling stations. status of the properties of the old kum and go stations. land owner near these stations. what to do about his concerns. Mayor advised the companies have gone into bankruptcy and they have been sited for violation of the city code and we are trying to keep on top of this issue so when they have been over the procedures we can do something more about it. next steps go thru nuisance abatement and work with attorney to follow the steps necessary to

Mayor-alumni group thanks,

council reports - skaggs camelot theatre ragbrai event, open mic night thursd, main st neva-update; mittman-?? cant hear her.. argh. 

harold-regular operation maintenance, replacement because of power outage.

erin-summer learning challenge half way thru, thurs morning programs at middle school lots of success anxious for the the statistics. digitize the 1940 yearbooks. fundraising with the alumni to have the funds to do the rest.

tim-starting work on the disc golf issues at pool, fieldhouse is progressing,

chris- cant really understand him.
